Opening Night! Game number one of 72 in the 2005-06 season. The entire team is introduced, much to the delight of the near-sellout crowd at Rabobank Arena. The Condors come out of the chute strong and net three goals in the first period, chasing Victoria's starting goaltender. The Salmon Kings come out of the first intermission equally strong, though and tie the game. Bako clamps down defensively and puts two more pucks in the net, skating away with a 5-3 victory. This is the only home game in October for the Condors. They head out to the land of Polar-Bears-with-sticks for three with the Alaska Aces.
