The Condors are back home after a tough road trip. Changes are being made. One bright spot is the play of goaltender Ryan Munce, who was underwhelming in training camp. Munce has begun to establish himself as a solid #1. This night he and the rest of the team play good defensive hockey, getting a goal early and, after a bad line call gets the Dogs even, pull the victory out in the shootouot and take a 2-1 victory in front of another big Condors-town crowd.
The Condors wear special Bakersfield-themed jerseys, depicting various Kern County landmarks (the Beale Clock Tower, the old 'Bakersfield' sign, changed to Condorstown, oil wells, etc.). I rather like them. As always, the jerseys are auctioned off after the game.
Before the game and during first intermission, local band Rocky Nash perform.
No scoreboard pic. Just plain forgot. Don't know what's come over me lately. I blame the new Condors cheer squad, whatever the heck they're called.

The first specialty jersey auction brings in many big bids and lots of money for charity. Tonight the Ronald McDonald House is the beneficiary. The Condors and their fans are able to raise over $16,000. Kevin St. Jacques' jersey fetches the highest bid at $3500. Old Condor favorites Quinn Fair and Paul Rosebush also make an appearance and jerseys are made for them as well.
