Condors 2 Johnstown 1 (SO)
The Stanley Cup pays a visit to the Rabobank Arena as do the Johnstown Chiefs of "Slapshot" fame. It's the first ever visit to Bakersfield for both. Fans could get their picture taken with The Cup (mine is above, since I didn't get a final scoreboard pic). Bako starts fast but can't get a shot past Chiefs goalie Denis Lemi--er, Jonathan Boutin. Both teams tally in the second and play an even third, leading the Condors to their league-high 9th overtime game of the season. Both clubs fail to score in the extra 5, necessitating a shootout. Ryan Munce is huge in goal, stopping all five Johnstown shooters and Kevin St. Jacques pots the game winner to give the Boys from Bako a 2-1 win.
